Topic: My favorite Islamic state today....

Curioustraveller, technically you are right and you think just like me. There is not a single Islamic state that can really really be called an Islamic State. Every Islamic or should I say predominantly Moslem state is either running on western-type democracy or is overwhelmingly being governed on colonial laws with not even a pinch of Islam. For instance where I am from (Pakistan) a Fatwa issued by an authorised Jurist or authentic faqih is "NOT ENTERTAINED IN THE CIVIL COUTS".
 
So there we go!!!

This brings me back to my question.  What makes a state an Islam state?  Is it leaders are Islam, or the type of government (I.E. communism vs. democracy) or are there other requirements?

I am just really curious.  Around here if you hear of Islamic state they think of a country which Islam has "overthrown the government" and I know that is not the real meaning.

I totally agree with you. We need to define what makes an islamci state a good one 
lot of people talk about Saoudia or Emirat, I've never been to those countries but from what i heard I am wondering if those country are a good place for poor Indian people who work there like slaves...
It's probably the place to be for healthy native saoudian poeple but I'm not sure it is for foreigners...
Please correct me if I am wrong, I'm juste asking...

I dont know what makes a government an islamic state, but i know, that we havent an islamic state actually. That is my oponion.
Nobody is perfect, but we should give our best. But most of the states give too much value on money.

As we are Muslims we try to follow the rules of Islam.
At the present time we can not apply all the rules.
For that peace is not coming.The days are coming
