Also, in my country, there are some special boxes outside mosques and similar religious institutions, where people drop in these kinds of papers. The particular organization then disposes them off properly.

First if all, let me answer the few questions asked:
- No you can not tear them.
- No you certainly should not feed them to any animal 
- Yes, I forgot about the boxes and thank you for adding that sister.

My knowledge of course is very limitted so please do confirm all this from somewhere and share with us. I have shared with you as much as I have read about the matter.

dispose of nothing with verses on it. We keep things with much less use than paper with holy verses on them. Send them to a Mosque. don't throwe them out

For religion papers specially the names of Allah to dispose these papers:
-  you may tear it into bits, until you can not read any complete letter from it.

- you may burn them but you should make sure that the fire had burned all the words and you should mix up the aches because some times you can still see the words after burning the paper.
this is specially for the Quran papers.

May Allah reward us for our good deeds and forgive our sins. Ameen
