I read somewhere  that in USA,at age 5 they have all the questions and by age 16 they have all the answers.

In USA there is no control over many things. There are laws for kids, they  are handed information where to call if abused by parents. Even if I beat my kids they never thought of calling that phone number because they understand the situation. But some kids can call the Helpline. In the past beating was considered part of discipline now it is called  ABUSE. Result is obvious: early pregnancies, crime rate is very high among teen agers. And Muslim children are not exception.

Hey... there IS a difference between "spanking" and "beating".  Here in America, spanking is allowed, but beatings aren't.  The difference-- the spanking leaves a lesson; the beating leaves a scar.  Learn the difference before your kid has you thrown in jail.

Just sayin'...

Spanking IS legal.  In fact, many public schools in the US (especially here in the South) still allow paddling at the parents' discretion.

If spanking were illegal, then schools wouldn't be allowed to paddle, now would they?

Here in Indiana my kids went to school never thinking of abuse, but by first grade where telling me they could have me arrested. >:(

The real bad thing is I do not even spank my children.  I wory I will hit out of anger or to hard as I have been so I find other punishments.

However they are still told they way we talk or take away games ect is all abuse.

My friend's 9 yr old girl was throwing a fit in store parking lot and the police questioned her even thow she was not hitting girl but rather strugling to get her in car. :o

It al makes me very nervese.
