Are all prayers answered?
« on: Friday 11 July 2008, 10:12 »
My question is very simple....

Are all prayers answered? Does HE (Allah) gives us all we ask HIM to give us?

Yes. All prayers are answered. If you ask something from Allah, if its good for you, Allah will make it happen. If its bad for you Allah will give u an alternative of something better for you. We must not think that just because it seems like we dont get an answer, that we wont. We must always ask Allah, as Allah loves those who ask Him.
There are also some conditions in which one makes a prayer, e.g. one needs to remember prophet Mohamaad sallalahu alayhi ^wa salaam, his companions and family and all the good muslims, when making a duaa.

All prayers are answered. If not in this world we will be rewarded in Heaven for those prayers, which according to us were NOT heard.
Suppose I pray for a new car and I get it. I am happy that Allah heard my prayers. But then If I am involved in a serious accident, I will say,"I wish Allah would have not heard my prayer for the car".
If I did not get a new car,I will say,"Allah did not listen to my prayers.

In short we should stay contented and keep praying and not complaining.

This is very good point becouse I have always pointed out what if you pray for rain and your niebor prayes for sunny dry day.

It is Allah's will,if it rains or not. We are His creation and He is testing us in our life. We must keep praying and do not lose Faith. :resort
The other day I took off from work to attend a party of myclose friend. Not only that I lost my, that day's salary, the employer did not schedule me for next week too. So I lost double the amount. I have decided not to take off from work in future for a party. But then I thought may be Allah saved me from an accident which might have occured if I had gone to work that party day, from which I would have lost much more ,including my life.

Or maybe you disappointed Allah with your absenteeism, and Allah has decided to see  to it that your employer schedule you less in the future.Allah's ways are mysterious to our puny minds. Remember Allah gives us all we need, whether we like it or not. :salam1

Yes, All prayers are answered on three phases

1) The prayer is answered on earth, for that you get directly or after a while what you asked for

2) The prayer pushes another bad thing was about to happen to you which you don't know

3) Allah keeps this prayer for you and you get good deeds for it and be rewarded in heaven isA. People at that day would wish that their prayers wasn't answered on earth (number 1)

And at the end Allah loves his slaves to ask him over and over, and Messenger of Allah said what means "Your prayers are answered so long as you don't hurry on them, and when he was asked what is that hurry, He said to say that I asked Allah and HE didn't respond" 'sorry if translation is not very clear"

May every new sunrise bring you closer to your dreams

I still do not understand if two good people pray for the exact opposite thing.  A case where only one is possible?

I juess rain bad example, but maybe husband prayes he gets job and wife that he does not.

If G_DS will happens only one of the two prayers is answered.

just asking

Allah will give what He knows is best for you. So if one person prays for the intention of her husband not getting the job, but the husband prays that he does get it, Allah will give what He knows is best for that person.
So all in all, every prayer is answered. Because Allah only knows whats best for us, sometime we ask things that we think are good for us, but turn out that they are not.
