The kind of marriage in which the partners agree to marry for a specific period of time. Is this kinda marriage allowed in Islam?

A friend of mine told me it WAS allowed but not anymore. Our beloved Rasulullah stopped this type of marriages. You can ask an Imaam about this matter.

NO, It is NOT. It becomes like playing  a Game or Prostitution.

temporary marriage is allowed! If you find yourself in a foreign land and you are seeking to infiltrate the enemies camp you may have need of  a temporary wife,  this arrangement may help you fulfill your objectives, and can bring great benefit for your wife. as long as both parties are entering into this marriage with open minds and hearts and the intention of the marriage is to please  and not for a loophole for uninhibited fornication then it is allowed.

I will need authentic hadith to prove it.
But it is NOT allowed to all of us. Is it?

there is but one Allah and mMohammed(pbuh) was his messenger. Allah Allows it, he Allows it to all. Allah has allowed it to all people, be they jew,christian,druid,atheist or scientologist. if you are unsure of this ask your self why some would be allowed this and not others? there is but one  submit to HIS will.

I think that Moderators should help in this matter. If it is allowed then one can  have many contracts.
my heart tells me that there is something  wrong here. It does not sound proper to me.

You are right 'farrah'. It does not sound proper.  On my previous post in this matter I said: "It WAS allowed at first, but not anymore. Becuase, our beloved Rasulullah stopped this type of marriages".  But, if 'curioustraveler' is so sure, then we need evidence for this from hadiths or Al-Quran.

I think that we should not stay quiet on this matter. We must know about it and make it clear.
Many replies are either ambiguous or not discussed at all. The new generation needs the answers for "SURE". Why are we not sure? Should we listen and accept quietly what we are told?
I think that we all should put effort towards it by searching the authentic sites. We as Muslims have made our Groups.
